Equitable Access solves a lot of problems....Uncover 3 of the big ones!
As an academic leader, you know that providing course materials can be a significant expense for students, and faculty can spend a significant amount of time searching for the best materials for their courses. Slingshot's Equitable Access program offers a solution to these challenges. Our program provides faculty members with the freedom to choose the best materials and format for their courses while ensuring that students have access to all required materials. By partnering with Slingshot, you can simplify the course material procurement process, reduce costs, and help students succeed.
As a college student, you know that course materials can be a significant expense, often adding up to hundreds of dollars each semester. Additionally, it can be challenging for faculty to find the best materials for their course and for students to track down all the required materials. That's where Slingshot's Equitable Access program comes in.
Here are three challenges that our program solves and the solutions we offer:
CHALLENGE #1: Faculty want academic freedom to adopt the format that works best for their course and student population.
SOLUTION: At Slingshot, we understand that faculty members need the freedom to choose the best format and materials for their courses. That's why we work closely with faculty to determine the best mix of course materials, while still allowing them to maintain academic freedom and control over the format of their courses.
CHALLENGE #2: Course material costs are still very unpredictable.
SOLUTION: Equitable Access reduces course materials costs to one predictable fee, automatically charged to the student's account each semester. This eliminates the need for students to track down and purchase individual materials and helps faculty budget for course materials more accurately.
CHALLENGE #3: Students in an inclusive access program may still be responsible for finding some of their course materials.
SOLUTION: Equitable Access provides all materials for all courses in an auto-fulfillment model. This means that students receive all of their required course materials, regardless of their financial situation or ability to track down the materials on their own.
By providing a comprehensive solution to course materials, Slingshot's Equitable Access program helps students save money, simplifies the course material procurement process for faculty, and ensures that all students have access to the materials they need to succeed. If you're looking for a more affordable and accessible way to access course materials, consider partnering with Slingshot and implementing our Equitable Access program on your campus.
