Student

  • How do I login to my Slingshot Account?

    • Go to slingshotedu.com
    • Click on “login” at the top right of the page.
    • Click “student”.
    • Login: student email. Password: student ID.
    • Password not working? Click “Forgot Password”.
  • Where is my package?

    • Follow the steps to login to your Slingshot Account.
    • Click on “Transaction History”.
    • All of your transactions are listed there, including a tracking number.
  • How do I return my rental book?

    • Follow the steps to login to your Slingshot account.
    • Click on “My Rentals”.
    • From here, you can return, extend, or purchase rentals.
  • What format preferences are available for students ?

    Students can choose from the following preferences: Rental, Purchase New, Purchase Used, Digital or Opt-Out. We will fulfill to a student’s preference whenever that format is available for the required content.

Faculty

  • What is Slingshot Pro?

    Slingshot Pro is our data hub and adoption collection platform. Faculty and Administrators can log in to view course material fulfillment metrics and details and well as submit adoptions.

  • How do I login?

    Your user account is automatically set up for you using your full, institution email address (example: jdoe@institution.edu) The password is your faculty ID number. If you don’t know that number, you can click on Forgot Password and we’ll send you a link to reset it to something you do know. 

  • What if I want to adopt an item that doesn’t have an ISBN or I can’t find it in the search?

    When adopting course materials, use the “Add Custom Product” link just under the search bar and fill out all the details you know about the product. Your catalog specialist will then do some research and confirm the adoption.

  • What if I don't require course materials, do I still have to adopt?

    Yes. In this case, please add an adoption of “No Course Materials Required” through the Add Adoption button.

  • Do I have to adopt the newest edition of a book?

    No, this is not required. As long as an old edition has market availability we can provide it to your students. If there’s a potential that we can no longer source an old edition, we’ll let you know as soon as possible along with what other options might be available.

  • My course isn’t listed in Slingshot Pro. What do I do?

    Assigned lead instructors are (typically) automatically given the ability to submit adoptions. If you are the assigned instructor, there may be an issue with the data we’re receiving from your institution. Or, if you are submitting adoptions on behalf of another individual, you might need custom permissions configured. In either of these cases, please contact support@slingshotedu.com.
